Cast Timer: Terms of use

These terms are an English translation for convenience. If there is a difference between versions, the French version prevails.

1. Who we are

Cast Timer: Chromecast Limit ("Cast Timer", "the App") is published by SMARTPOSITIVE, a French limited liability company (SARL) with a share capital of 6 500 €, registered at RCS Montpellier 790 372 395, VAT number FR18790372395, with its registered office at 494 rue Léon Blum, 34000 Montpellier, France ("we", "us", "our"). 2. Accepting these terms

These terms apply to your use of the App. By installing or using it, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.

Our Privacy Policy explains how the App handles data. The terms of the store you downloaded the App from also apply.

3. Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, for private or professional purposes, as permitted by the rules of the store you got it from.

The App, its name, its design and its code belong to us. You may not copy, resell or redistribute it, or attempt to extract its source code, except where the law allows it.

4. Price

The App is free. It has no subscription and no in-app purchase.

5. Using the App

You agree to use the App lawfully, and not to use it to harm others or to disrupt the App or the services it relies on.

What you create with the App stays yours, and you are responsible for it. Keep your own backups of anything important: if your phone is lost, reset or replaced, we may not be able to help you recover it.

6. What Cast Timer can and cannot do

Cast Timer is a screen time helper, not a security tool or a guaranteed parental control. It only counts content cast from a phone or tablet. It needs your phone to stay on the same Wi-Fi network as the TV, and it may stop working if the phone is off, the network drops, or a device or video app behaves differently. It does not cover apps opened directly on the TV.

Supervising children and their screen time remains your responsibility.

Chromecast, Google TV and Android TV are trademarks of Google LLC. Cast Timer is an independent app, not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. A change made by Google or a device maker may affect how the App works.

7. Availability and updates

We work to keep the App useful and reliable, but we do not promise that it will always be available, free of errors or compatible with every device. We may update, change or stop offering the App. If you are a consumer, we supply the updates needed to keep the App in conformity, as the law requires.

8. Warranty and liability

If you are a consumer, you benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services, and nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.

If you use the App for your business, it is provided "as is", without any warranty beyond those required by law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost profit, lost data, or the loss of a claim or dispute.

In every case, nothing in these terms limits our liability for intentional fault, gross negligence or personal injury.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your licence if you seriously breach these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version will be published at the same address with a new "Last updated" date. If you continue to use the App after a change, the new version applies to you.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence.

Any dispute between professionals falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Montpellier, France. Consumers may bring a claim before the courts provided for by law.
